Organice is a software suite for engineering document management and document control. Organice is fully based on Microsoft SharePoint, leveraging existing technology on Windows Server 2003 and 2008. Organice helps project driven engineering organizations to manage and share their project documentation and to control their document distribution and tracking.
Organice Explorer provides all the fundamental document management functionality to create, store, search, retrieve, view, check in, check out, edit and revise documents. The user interface has an MS Outlook look and feel, making it easy to use for everyone. It integrates with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook and various CAD applications, including AutoCAD, BricsCad, Revit and MicroStation. The Organice Explorer CAD integration offers support for reference files (e.g. Xrefs) and title-block linking of SharePoint metadata. Through an integrated viewer, users can open, view and redline all documents, even if they do not have access to the native application.
With Organice Scan incoming correspondence and other hardcopy documents can be scanned and stored into the SharePoint document environment, making all documents centrally and digitally available to all users. Organice Scan can be used in combination with any scanning device, including small format and wide format scanners, standalone scanners and multifunctional devices.
Organice Transmit distributes multiple documents efficiently to multiple recipients at once and offers management information to document controllers who need to keep track of transmittals. A distribution matrix specifies exactly which recipient needs to receive which documents, and how many, and a distribution tracking list in SharePoint keeps track of who received what and when. Users can easily create distribution matrices by querying documents and recipients. When documents are updated, Organice Transmit automatically notifies the document controller which recipient needs to receive the updated documents.
Organice Publish can publish documents that are stored in SharePoint. Documents can be published in their native format, but they can also be converted into PDF, so that they can easily be opened, viewed and annotated by others without the native application. Published documents can easily be distributed, accurately printed and securely archived for many years. Organice Publish can be initiated at any time through a custom SharePoint workflow, for instance to publish documents to any document library or SharePoint site for distribution, printing, archiving or to an extranet for external access.

This product accomplishes what it claims. The biggest challenge that we've had with sharepoint is being able to manage autocad and revit projects that live in a website. This bridges the gap, coordinates xrefs, images, and other attachments, and makes working with sharepoint efficient, especially from a user standpoint (architects, designers, cad users). We also tested CADnection in our environment and found that it couldn't accomplish what it claimed. All of the features we needed are now on their top 10 most requested, seen here --> http://www.caddm.net/?p=13 Organice does the things that other products can't when it comes to integrating AutoCAD and Sharepoint.
